Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC/LPCC) Jobs in Alaska
Professional counseling jobs within our Alaska-based outpatient practices. Licensed and near-licensed professional counselors are welcome to apply.
Focused Clinical Work, Without the Noise
If you’re exploring different counseling jobs in Alaska, you’re probably looking for meaningful clinical work in a setting that respects your time and your training. Most counselors did not enter this field to spend their days managing red tape. They entered it to work with clients, think deeply, and make a difference. Our outpatient practices are structured to protect that focus.
Our counseling roles in Alaska offer consistent outpatient work, steady referrals, and strong administrative support. Schedules are manageable. Expectations are clear. You can concentrate on therapy and clinical growth instead of unnecessary complexity.
You’ll work alongside experienced clinicians who value collaboration, consultation, and professional judgment. Communication is direct. The environment is supportive and steady. It is a place where you can build a long-term career, not just fill a position.
If you are looking for counseling jobs in Alaska that prioritize quality care, ethical practice, and sustainable workloads, this is a setting designed for exactly that.
Our Three Counseling Office Locations.
Careers in Homer
Homer sits at the southern tip of the Kenai Peninsula, about four hours from Anchorage, where the highway meets Kachemak Bay. Known for halibut fishing and a strong arts community, it draws independent, thoughtful people who value living with intention. This setting includes mountain views and direct access to the bay, with a pace of life that is noticeably quieter than most cities.
Our Homer office maintains the same clinical standards, systems, compensation, flexibility, and administrative support as Soldotna. The choice comes down to which community fits you best.
Careers in Soldotna
Soldotna is located about two and a half hours south of Anchorage along the Sterling Highway. Built along the Kenai River and bordering the Kenai National Wildlife Refuge, it offers everyday access to trails, wildlife, and wide open spaces.
Life here moves at a sustainable pace. The cost of living is reasonable by Alaska standards, and the outdoors is simply part of daily life.
Our Soldotna office is well equipped, thoughtfully organized, and located in a professional setting that reflects the high standard of care we provide.
Careers in Wasilla
Our Wasilla office serves clients from across the Mat-Su Valley, including Wasilla, Palmer, and surrounding communities. Many of the individuals, couples, and families we work with are building long term lives here, which means outpatient care is steady, relational, and ongoing.
Wasilla continues to grow, and so does the need for experienced professional counselors. Practicing here means developing long term clinical relationships within a community where clients return, refer others, and value trusted local providers.
Telehealth Counseling Roles for LPCs Across Alaska
Telehealth counseling roles are available for licensed professional counselors across Alaska who want the flexibility of remote work while remaining part of an Alaska-based outpatient practice. These positions are designed for clinicians who value thoughtful clinical work, professional autonomy, and long-term sustainability.
Licensed professional counselors in telehealth roles provide outpatient therapy to clients throughout the state using secure, efficient systems that support documentation, scheduling, and communication. These roles are fully integrated into our practices and are not part of a national telehealth platform or independent contracting model.
Telehealth counselor roles emphasize clinical focus without isolation. Counselors have access to consultation, administrative support, and collaborative clinical teams, allowing remote work to remain ethical, supported, and professionally grounded.
Availability of telehealth roles varies by location and clinical need. Counselors interested in remote work are encouraged to explore telehealth and location-specific pages for current opportunities.
What work looks like here.
This is a straightforward outpatient mental health role. You carry a caseload of individuals, children, teens, families, and couples, presenting with anxiety, depression, trauma, and general life stressors. These are engaged clients who show up and participate in the work.
Your day is primarily clinical. You see clients, complete documentation, manage your schedule and make sure your space is dialed in.
Administrative staff handle billing, insurance, and new client onboarding.
You work alongside experienced counselors, therapists, social workers, and psychiatric providers who value clear communication and high clinical standards.
Consultation is accessible and collaboration is encouraged.
We use a modern, cloud-based EHR system that is HIPAA compliant, efficient and user friendly.
Documentation expectations are clear and sustainable. Most clinicians complete notes the same day, allowing them to leave work at work.
Compensation, perks, and benefits.
The goal is simple. A role that pays you what you are worth, treats you like a professional, and gives you room to build sustainability.
Compensation.
Licensed professional counselors typically earn between $110,000 and $165,000 annually.
You are a W2 employee, not a 1099 contractor, which means stable predictable income without the headaches of managing your own books.
Pay reflects your licensure, clinical experience, and caseload. As your availability and caseload grow, your earning potential grows with it.
Other Perks.
Health care benefit to support your wellbeing outside the office.
Paid sick leave.
Malpractice coverage provided so you are protected without carrying that cost yourself.
CEU support, because strong clinicians keep growing and we want to make that easy.
Clinical supervision for pre-licensed clinicians working toward full licensure in Alaska.
Scheduling that is actually flexible.
You have real input into your session days, hours, and time off.
We ask for a minimum of 24 completed sessions per week.
Most clinicians work a three to four day clinical week and manage their own time off in coordination with client needs.
